Huff Hills Ski Area has been providing quality outdoor recreation opportunities and improving quality of life in the Bismarck/Mandan area for 30 years.  We are now embarking on a new project, called Huff 2030, that will transform the base area and on on-hill terrain options to make Huff Hills even better.  Initial projects are focused on increasing base area capacity, to improve the guest experience (especially for families) while adding night skiing.  The project will involve the addition of a 2,000 Sq. Ft rental center building, and the removal of the existing rental shop building.  In addition, the snowmaking pond would be relocated to the top, and the current pond area would be graded and become additional parking space.  Follow along on this page as we continue to develop plans to continue to be an awesome little ski area for the next 30 years!

Base Area Projects

-Fill in and re-grade existing access road and snowmaking pond area to create a new parking lot and drop off loop.  This will help alleviate the lack of parking that has been a struggle the past few seasons.

-Add a 2,000 Sq. Ft. Rental Center Building.  This will more than double our rental shop space, reduce or eliminate outside waiting, and allow for a larger rental fleet.

This will be a stretched membrane structure, that will be able to relocated later to become a new mountain operations shop after a later phase, allowing for building materials to be recycled into a later project.

-Adding a new small pumphouse and relay pipeline to move water from river pipeline to our new upper pond.
